Mission Statement
Pilgrim is an open and affirming congregation. This means the church voted to be open and affirming about our acceptance of people who come to Pilgrim.
The Open and Affirming stance was adopted in an effort to let the gay and lesbian community know they are welcome at Pilgrim. It is a designation through our denomination, the United Church of Christ.
The UCC has ordained gay and lesbian people to the ministry since 1972. Our statement also refers to people of color, physical condition, language, race and national origin.
Pilgrim is a place of welcome to all.
