Our Mission
Pilgrim Congregational Church is a small, energetic, theologically diverse Christian community where you can know others, and you can be known by name.
Individually, we have differences in background and differences of theology, but share a common respect for each other and a desire to serve others.
We are independent thinkers who understand that God does not have the same form for every person though it is the same God.
We study scriptures to both understand past interpretations and to find new insights and help for living today.
Rooted in the Congregational tradition, we are members of the UCC, a denomination which brings together those who are passionate in their impulse to unity and committed to the liberty of conscience inherent in the Gospel.
In our culture, churches often judge what is acceptable or not and marginalize people by that judgement. We are proud of our commitment to offer a freedom to believe, say, teach and live our ideals of inclusion. We value the diversityof gifts brought to us by others and welcome all to join us in our spiritual journey regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, cultural background or disability.
Most of our members are actively involved in some form of ministry__it is part of our nature. Some of these ministries are sponsored in our church, others are based in the larger community.
We work together to provide spiritual strength and nurturing, for ourselves and those we serve.
We are a fellowship of individuals on a common Spiritual Journey.
